The absolute first thing I would try when seeing this Explorer.exe error “No such interface supported” is to try system restore. This depends if you have a restore point available. This no interface supported error message can be wiped away with system restore.
You can find system restore in the start menu>Programs>Accessories>System tools>System Restore
If that does not work for you then try the following:
Fixing the “No such interface supported” Explorer.exe Error
You might see this error “No Such Interface Supported IE8″ or Internet Explorer 7. It can happen when you try to install Internet Explorer and have a problem or try to remove it again.1. Click Start and type “CMD” to bring up your command prompt. See the screenshot below. The arrow shows where to type cmd.
2. Type “DIR *.dll /s /b > regdll.bat” and then press enter.
3. Type “Notepad regdll.bat” and press enter.
4. Notepad will list of your .dll files.
5. We need to use the find and replace feature in Notepad. You can press Ctrl-H or go to the top menu and click on “edit” then click on “replace”. See the screenshot below.
6. Where it says Find what type in “C:”
7. In the Replace field type “C:WindowsSystem32Regsvr32.exe /s C:“.
8. Click Replace All.
9. Then Save and Exit.
10. Now go to the start menu to run cmd again like we did above.
11. Tyoe in “regdll” and press enter. It will now go through and re-register all your .dll files.
While the dll files are being re-registered you may see some error messages. Simply click OK and continue to let the .bat file run its process.
